silver world

I have created several works using silver and white. There is not necessarily a common theme, but looking back, I feel that I have used these colors when I wish that the world would be forever enveloped in a soft light, safe, and filled with blessings. I would like to introduce some of those works.

A phoenix relaxing among ripening bamboo seeds

"Bamboo fruits falling"

The phoenix is a mythical auspicious beast that is said to appear when a virtuous gentleman emerges. It is said to have a penchant for bamboo, which only bears fruit about once every 60 years, after which it withers and dies. May the phoenix live a contented life in a world where rare bamboo fruit grows in abundance.

Peacock Catching a Snake

"Peacock Garden"

Peacocks are considered beneficial birds because they catch and eat poisonous insects and snakes, and are also seen as symbols of warding off evil spirits. This is a scene in which a snake is being subdued in a garden dominated by a peacock. I hope that those who view this painting will also receive similar benefits.

Hokkaido animals gather on a single rock

"inn"

Plants and animals maintain a delicate balance in ecosystems. In Hokkaido, where wolves have disappeared, the deer population is increasing, damaging pastures and rare plants. This reminds us that we humans are also part of that balance.

"Climbing"

The dragon in this work has neither a head nor a tail. Its beginning is unknown, and its end is indistinguishable. It seems that people often do not know the full picture of what they imagine. The wolves aim to climb the dragon and get closer to its true nature. It is also a journey to explore the source of their intuition and imagination.

"Wintering"

There is a proverb that likens the state of not succumbing to the cold of severe winter to pine and oak trees. The meaning is that, like pine and oak trees that do not shed their leaves even in the bitter cold of winter, one should face any adversity with a resolute attitude. This painting depicts a wolf ignoring the prey in front of it in the falling snow and looking up at the sky with a certain determination.

"elephant"

Just as it is difficult to understand the whole picture of a huge elephant, it is difficult to know everything about nature, society, things, people, etc. Even if our knowledge and experiences are only partial or can only be grasped through our own interpretation, I believe that we can bring them together to improve individuals and society.

A wolf walking with a flock of phoenixes

"Small Waves"

No matter how big a movement, it starts with one small action. When one small domino falls, it can topple a larger one, and by repeating this process, it gradually topples a larger domino. We believe in the power of "that first, single, small action." That first step may one day have a big impact.

A lone wolf facing a pack of wolves

"The mystery that God gives me is endless, and such love that takes me to such a far place, everywhere."

Even when you solve one problem or question, new problems and questions appear on the other side. And the number of things you "need to know" keeps increasing. As you continue to walk, guided in this way, sometimes you realize that you have come a long way from your starting point. But you also feel that this is just another passing point.

A wolf facing a giant snake

"Thank you_20241112"

This is the second work of the same name (owned by the artist) created in 2022. In this painting, the giant snake standing in the way symbolizes difficulty. It feels like such difficulties often become an opportunity for growth. The title "Thank you" comes from the phrase "Thank you for standing in my way."

A field of grass

"Only love remains"

Even after we leave this world, the impact we had on those around us while we were alive remains to some extent. What would I want to be left behind at that time? What if we could create a world where only "love" remained as a vestige of my life? What kind of scenery would unfold there? How should I be now to achieve this?
