Messages from the Moon and Ancient Times

This piece was created when an image just came to mind, rather than having any particular concept in mind. When you create a piece from this starting point, you can't explain everything right away, but I feel that one day something will trigger you to understand what the picture represents.

In Japan, the moon has appeared in many literary works since ancient times. For example, what does the moon symbolize in "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter"?
