The wolf cub in this artwork has just encountered a Hōsōge flower that it considers most precious to it at this moment. It holds it tightly in its front paws, determined not to let anyone take it. The world is overflowing with beautiful Hōsōge flowers (products of human imagination), but I believe it is very important to be able to discern among them and say, "This is the one I need right now."
