A quiet valley deep in the mountains, a "secluded valley." Perhaps this is where the souls of the dead go to find their "other world."

The wolf, as a statue of "Un," symbolizes the end of the world. This work, along with "Yukoku_A," served as a guardian for the work "Existence and Non-Existence," which marks the entrance to the afterlife, in the artist's 2025 solo exhibition "Incarnation."

A lunar eclipse in the background represents the cycle of life in a world without sunlight, while the red fruits of the Japanese laurel tree ripen around it, giving off a hint of life and rebirth.
When placed next to Azo no Ookami, it becomes a combination that has the roles of circulation and protection.

Guarding the entrance to the afterlife

A quiet valley deep in the mountains is known as “Yūkoku.” Perhaps this is where the souls of the dead depart for the afterlife.

The wolf depicted as the “A” in the “A-Un” pair symbolizes the end of the world.

This work was exhibiting alongside “Yūkoku_A,” which served to protect the work “U-mu,” symbolizing the entrance to the afterlife, at the 2025 solo exhibition “Keshin (Incarnation).”

The lunar eclipse floating in the background symbolizes the cycle of a world where sunlight does not reach. Around it, the fruits of the Aoki tree ripen red, emitting an aura of life and regeneration.
Combined with the wolf of the “A” statue, it forms a combination that embodies the roles of cycle and protection.
