To peacocks, poisonous snakes are a threat to their eggs and chicks, while to poisonous snakes, peacocks are a threat that could potentially prey on them.
Although their relationship is fraught with tension, the two characters depicted on screen maintain a mysterious balance.

Remembering past hurts and fears and avoiding them is important in life, but being fearful even when the other person has not yet taken action shows that you are disturbed by their existence.

"Calmness and composure" means a calm and composed state of mind.
Taking control of your own peace of mind is what this work depicts.
